Book Prom Country Lodge in Foster

Prom Country Lodge offers Queen, Superior Queen, Twin, and Family rooms, some with garden views. Each room includes a TV, bed linen, towels, a private bathroom with a shower, and a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster. Extra blankets are provided, and some rooms have a desk, power points, and a small library. The split-system air conditioning works in some rooms, but the decor is dated-brown tiles, chipped paint, and old carpets in unrenovated rooms. Staff can turn on heaters on request.

The on-site restaurant is temporarily closed, despite being advertised on the hotel website. Guests must walk 10-15 minutes to Foster town center for meals at the Foster Exchange Hotel (pub) or local cafes. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner when open, but it's not available during stays. No bar or food options are on site. Plan ahead-bring food and drinks, as the town closes early (by 6-8 pm).

No spa, gym, or pool on site. The lodge has a garden with outdoor furniture and a small library. TVs have limited channels (free-to-air only) and poor Wi-Fi. No guided activities or entertainment. Some rooms have dimmer lights and power points. The hotel is near Wilson's Promontory National Park (40-minute drive) for hiking and beaches.

The lodge is a 10-minute walk from Foster Museum and 5 minutes from the town center. It's a 20-minute drive to Agnes Falls Scenic Lookout and 40 minutes to Wilson's Promontory National Park. The property is near the main road, with a gravel carpark and accessible parking. It's a 5-minute walk to the metro station (Line 5) and bus stop #42. The area is quiet but noisy from road traffic.

Services include 24-hour security, fire extinguishers, key card access, and express check-in/check-out. The tour desk is available, and private check-in/check-out is offered. Staff are friendly and helpful, but the reception is only open 6 pm-8 pm. No room service or business center. No children's activities or babysitting. Wi-Fi is patchy. The hotel is basic-no extra frills. Some guests reported issues with heaters and noise.
